Tax-deductible once 501(c)(3) status is granted. 100% of every donation is reserved for the Sanctuary. No salaries are paid from donations until the home is open and licensed.

Too many adolescents in foster care bounce between short stays, crowded programs, and schools that never learn their names. Buddie Sanctuary is being built as a small residential community where youth can live with dignity.

The home
Eight bedrooms. One community.
Plans include a licensed residential home for adolescents, on-site staff housing, and space for learning, counseling, and ordinary teenage life.

Licensing and oversight
Built to the standard foster youth deserve.
Buddie Sanctuary will be licensed as a residential child care facility in North Dakota, governed by a board drawn from teachers, counselors, and social workers. Annual nonprofit filings will be public.
Business model
Two revenue streams. One mission.
Buddie Sanctuary is funded by donations, Shadow Zodiac — a creative fiction project whose revenue is split to sustain both the art and the home — and Buddie Bookkeeping, a small-business bookkeeping service that contributes a portion of every engagement to the Sanctuary.
Shadow Zodiac
Shadow Zodiac is a dark-fantasy fiction project — novels, short stories, and digital content. 50% of every sale or subscription goes to Buddie Sanctuary. The other 50% funds the creative work itself.
Buddie Bookkeeping
Buddie Bookkeeping is a small-business bookkeeping service. A portion of every client engagement goes directly to Buddie Sanctuary, making every business that works with us a quiet partner in the mission.
